Cari Slings Review

I was so lucky to have been able to test out a Cari Slings woven wrap. As soon as I saw the pictures I fell in love with the design and colors. When I was contacted to test the wraps there was absolutely no hesitation in my answer. This is actually the first time I have ever had the privilege of testing out a wrap, and I was so excited to get it in.

Finally the wrap arrived and I was in awe - this thing is beautiful! I took it out of the box and had to wrap with it immediately. I had to bribe my son with some candy to get him up since he wasn't in the mood but he was instantly happy when he got up on my back.
Not only is this wrap beautiful, it is also supportive and comfortable with my two and a half year old son. I wrapped him in a double hammock and while the wrap has a little grip it slid nicely into place and stayed put. It has a perfect amount of stretch and was very comfortable on the shoulders. I have a feeling once these are broken in fully they will be a dream to wrap with. Since it is new, it's not as soft as it will get but even with that it was a treat to wrap with.

I put my four year old son up as well and it was not diggy at all and very comfortable with him. He just absolutely loves this wrap, for a child who doesn't get worn very often he had been asking a lot since this wrap entered our house. It is definitely his favorite that I have had.
I am really sad to have to send this beauty back and will miss it dearly, hopefully one day I can own one for myself.

I highly recommend these wraps, not only are they stunning but they are amazing to wrap with. You won't be disappointed, trust me.

Official Introduction

First of all I would like to thank you for visiting my blog. There will be new tutorials and posts very soon!

Now to introduce myself and my family.

I am Marissa I am 24 years young a few of my favorite interests in life are of course my children, crafting, taking pictures and learning new things. I am very passionate about carseat safety, breastfeeding, genital integrity, babywearing and natural child birth. I try to be as environmentally friends and "green" as possible. My sons use cloth diapers, natural cleaners/soaps, we have just recently started a compost, and we are trying to branch out into a more natural lifestyle.

I got pregnant with my first son in March 2009 and had an amazing pregnancy with him. We decided to not find out the sex and while it was hard not knowing, the surprise was amazing. Aiden Jeremiah Cloud Payne was born December 9th 2009 at 9:02pm weighing 9 pounds 5oz 21 inches long (I think 9 is going to be his special number). I had a completely natural and pain medication free delivery at a hospital with an OB. While I had a great hospital birth deep down I had wanted to have a home water birth with a midwife. Aiden was such a great baby, he may not have slept much at night, but he was always so happy and no matter what mood I was in he put a smile on my face. Now at 2 and a half years old he is a very spirited toddler who LOVES cars and is always on the move.

When I got pregnant with my second son it was a complete shock. Aiden was only 8 months old and we were NOT ready for another baby yet. Even though the pregnancy was not planned we were in love right from the beginning. This time around I decided to call and get a midwife as I really wanted to have that perfect home water birth. I got in with an amazing midwife who we clicked with right away. Once again I had a great pregnancy with no complications at all. Finally at 40 weeks and 3 days, Mothers day 2011, Zachary Noah Anthony Payne decided to make his appearance. Born at home in the water with daddy catching him baby Z was born weighing 9 pounds 8 oz and 21 inches long. Having a home birth was the most amazing thing I have ever experienced, if we have more kids I would do it again in a heartbeat. Zachary blended in perfectly with our family and was such a great baby, he is now almost 13 months and is such a character. He has this amazing smile that will brighten your day. He is a big mommas boy and is still nursing quite frequently.

Jason, my fiance, and I met back in 2008 when he had started working at walmart. We hit it off right from the start, we clicked so much that I left my current boyfriend at the time to be with him. He is an amazing musician and complete nerd, but I friggen love that about him. He is an assistant manager at the local Wal-Mart and I am so proud of how fast he has moved up with the company. I was going through our old facebook messages to eachother and he was such a dork before we started dating, but I thought it was so cute. One day we plan on getting married but as of right now its not a big deal to us, we are happy just as things are. He is such an amazing dad to our boys are we are so lucky to have him in our lives.

That's us!! The "Paynes". Hope to see you visit in the future!
